Did everything myself in my garage except paint. A friendly build competition among friends. Nothing special just very basic, but i think it came out ok since i have no experience. I don't have the mechanical know-how to build one and I dont have the funds to get one of those one off customs. This is a 97 virago ive been working on. Started a build on a 1982 GS 750 on 6/21/11 I am on a money budget and Time frame. A basic low budget bobber by a first timer. Hi all, figured I'd use the site to keep a record of my project as I sourced the bike from the forums initially (thanks bealz). Picked up a descent running 79 XS650 for $800. Write about your XS650.: I wanted to build a basic no-nonsense bobber. The Plan is to extend the rear wheel base and slim down the frame. The kind any Joe with a small amount of money could build.
